Support for new internationals as they begin life at Stanford
International graduate students and their families can enjoy a 2-4 day stay with a local host before settling into their regular housing. These experiences often lead to lifelong connections between internationals and their hosts.
Community Advisors welcome international graduate students, postdocs, and visiting scholars during fall orientation week, providing essential information about life in the US, the Bay Area, and on campus to ensure a smooth transition.
The Loan Closet offers second-hand and new household items for internationals to borrow while at Stanford for a nominal fee. Find kitchenware (pots, pans, dishes), linens (blankets, sheets, towels), irons, toasters, etc.
